PCB postpones remaining matches of Pakistan Super League amid coronavirus
The current season of Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been postponed due to coronavirus. PSL gave information about this by tweeting. The tweet states, "Important notice, PSL postponed. It will be held again later. More information will be given in the coming time."
Multan Sultans were scheduled to face Peshawar Jalmi in the first semi-final on Tuesday, while the second semi-final was to be held in Lahore between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings. The final of PSL-5 was to be held on Wednesday, but has now been canceled.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had already shortened the tournament and decided to hold a two-day playoff in place of a four-day playoff.
Many sports tournaments have either been canceled or postponed due to Coronavirus, a disease spread all over the world at this time.
The PCB on Monday had called off an upcoming ODI and Test against Bangladesh next month. It also suspended a domestic tournament.
The upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has also been postponed to 15 April. The 13th season of the IPL was to begin on March 29.
