The full schedule of the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) has been released. This season's league matches will take place from 29 March to 17 May and the final match will be played on 24 May.
This time, two matches will be played in the IPL on Sunday only, adding another week in the league stage for the 2020 season. This means that the 13th edition of the IPL will last 50 days, compared to 44 days in the previous year.
Rajasthan Royals will open their campaign against Chennai Super Kings in Chennai on 2 April. Jaipur will play its first home game based on April 5 against Delhi.
While Guwahati will host two of RR's home games, the rest of the matches will take place in Jaipur. Rajasthan's final fixture will be an away game against Delhi Capitals on 13th May.
Steve Smith will lead Rajasthan Royals as captain in IPL 2020. The team includes several big names like Jofra Archer, Jose Butler, Shreyas Gopal, Ben Stokes and Sanju Samson. The team management signed Andrew McDonald as their coach and took a masterstroke.
In the auction, the Royals included veteran Robin Uthappa, Andrew Tye and David Miller, while young players under-19 stars Yashsavi Jaiswal, kartik tyagi and Akash Singh were included in the auction.
After its success in the inaugural edition of the IPL in 2008, Rajasthan Royals have so far failed to reach the same height.
