The full schedule of the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) has been released. This season's league matches will take place from 29 March to 17 May and the final match will be played on 24 May.
This time, two matches will be played in the IPL on Sunday only, adding another week in the league stage for the 2020 season. This means that the 13th edition of the IPL will last 50 days, compared to 44 days in the previous year.
The IPL 2020 opening match and Chennai Super Kings will play their first match against arch-rivals Mumbai Indians on March 29 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The MS Dhoni-led franchise will play its first home match against the inaugural champions Rajasthan Royals at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. CSK will play their final match of the group stage on 14 May in a away game vs Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Chennai has made several changes in their team this time. In the auction, Chennai Super Kings have included experienced players English all-rounder Sam Curran, Josh Hazlewood and leg-spinner Piyush Chawla.
With a balanced squad, Chennai Super Kings will be eyeing their fourth IPL title.
