suresh raina announces retirement from international cricket
Another bad news has come after former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni retired from international cricket. Indian batsman Suresh Raina has also announced his retirement from international cricket. Like Dhoni, Raina gave this information through Instagram.
"It was nothing but playing with you, Mahi. With all my heartfelt pride, I will choose to join you in this journey. Thank you India. Jai Hind".
Raina made his Dambulla ODI debut against Sri Lanka on 30 July 2005.
The friendship between Raina and Dhoni was well known. Raina was out of the Indian team for a long time. He last played for India in 2018.
The duo of Dhoni and Raina will now be seen playing for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2020.
Suresh Raina made his Dambulla ODI debut against Sri Lanka on 30 July 2005. Raina has scored 768 in 18 Tests and 5615 runs in 226 ODIs. He has 1605 runs in 78 T20s. Raina has scored 1 century in Tests and 5 in ODIs. He has a century in T20.
Raina is one of Dhoni's closest friends. He has been playing for Chennai Super Kings (CSK), captained by Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the IPL since the beginning.
