Fast bowler Jhye Richardson, who is returning from shoulder damage, is expected to make his first performance around the world this weekend.
Jhye Richardson has been named in Australia's squad for the three-match ODI against South Africa, although he will sit out of the series with New Zealand.
The return of Jhye Richardson gives a new dimension to Australia's bowling attack which includes the best high quality quick bowlers. It is fitting here that Jhye Richardson earned his place in the team after doing all the excellent work to regain his greatest following a severe shoulder damage.
Jhye Richardson previously said, "When you're going through rehab, you have moments when you're never really sure you're going back to where you were."
“The rehab process… was probably as smooth as it could go. I don't necessarily take backward steps, there were some plateaus on the way, which is very common, ”the West Australian told Cricket.com.
“There was a period of two to three weeks where nothing was getting better. It was still really sore, and I was off my half, just trying to get faster and better and stronger. And nothing was really happening, "added Richardson.
Richardson took 15 wickets in 14 matches played in the recent season of the Big Bash League (BBL), representing the Perth Scorchers.Australia and New Zealand are currently busy with their work in opposition to South Africa and India respectively.
